Minutes of the regular meeting of the Town Board of Cincinnatus held March 10, 2022 at the town hall commencing at 7:00PM.

  1. Call To Order; the meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Supervisor King.


  1. Approve the  public hearing meeting minutes of 2/10/22.  

A motion to approve the 2/10/22 meeting minutes was made by Mike Stafford, seconded by Mark Christian.

Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 motion carried


Approve minutes of the town board meeting of 2/10/22.

A motion to approve the minutes of the town board meeting of 2/10/22 was made by Mark Christian, seconded by Steve Mudge. 

Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 motion carried


  1. Financial Report – Town Clerk, Water Clerk, County Treasurer and 4th quarter workers comp report, Joint youth

A motion was made to accept the financial reports by Mike Stafford, seconded by Jonathon McKee.  

Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 motion carried


  1.  Public Commentary 

Travis Gross presented the idea of starting a side by side club within the area. He presented materials from surrounding clubs from Lewis County and Norwich. He discussed what a club like this would entail and how the town would benefit. He plans to look into more local clubs and bring more information in the future. He provided a petition of people interested. 


Beth Macrae, the town historian, presents her report on what she has been doing. She explained the filing system and how they are working with James Button to digitize and organize town artifacts and archives at Heritage Hall.

  1. Old Business: Resolution for the moratorium 

A motion was made to approve local law 1 of 2022 by Mike Stafford , seconded by Jonathan McKee. 

Ayes: 5 Nays:0 motion carried

  1.  Establishment of Town Website – Matt Tuning has been working with Luann and Carolyn on creating a website.  Cost will be $1300 and Matt will be the IT person if the clerks needs something @ $32.00 per hour.


  1. New Business:  Resolution to archive town records Grant Cortland City Clerk has written this grant. 

A motion was made to accept the grant by Michael Stafford, seconded by Mark Christian.  

Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 motion carried


  1. Approval to purchase software for Town Clerk. Williamson Plus Software Program costs $3,995.00, annual support costs $895.00, training or tutorials cost $150.00 per hour.

A motion was made by Steve Mudge, seconded by Mark Christian to   approve the purchase of the new software.

  1. Approval of the Warrants

A motion was made to approve the warrants by Mark Christian, seconded by Mike Stafford. 

Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 motion carried


  1. Adjournment:

A motion was made by Mike Stafford, seconded by Jonathan McKee to adjourn the meeting at 8:20 pm.

Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 motion carried
