Minutes of the budget meeting followed by a regular meeting of the Town Board of Cincinnatus held October 13, 2022 at the town hall commencing at 6:30 PM.

Call To Order; the budget meeting was called to order at 6:28 pm by Supervisor King.

The preliminary budget for 2023 is reviewed line by line with Joan Coombs.


Call To Order; the regular meeting was called to order at 7:11 pm by Supervisor King.


Approve minutes of the town board meeting of 9/8/22.

A motion to approve the minutes of the town board meeting of 9/8/22 was made by M. Stafford, seconded by M. Christian. 

Ayes: Stafford, McKee, Christian, Constantino, King

Nays: 0 motion carried


Financial Report – Town Clerk, Water Clerk, Justice

A motion was made to accept the financial reports by M. Christian, seconded by J. McKee.  

Ayes: Stafford, McKee, Christian, Constantino, King

Nays: 0 motion carried



  4. Public Commentary 

None at this time


Reports: Highway – Steve – roof in highway garage is leaking

Water – none

Planning Board – minutes attached, Mead property subdivision complete.  Patrick Waiter is interested in joining the planning board.


A motion was made to appoint Patrick Waiter to the Planning Board by M. Christian, seconded by J. McKee.

Nays: 0 motion carried


Code Enforcement – Tim’s report attached

Beautification Committee – none

Dog Warden SPCA – none

Joint Youth – no sports happening at this time

Town Attorney – Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP

6. New Business:  Preliminary Budget – This will be left with the Town Clerk for the community to review.  After 30 days no changes can be made to the preliminary budget.


Mick Eccleston tells the Board about the County’s proposed budget.  Discusses the number of job openings the county currently has as well as the inflation rate being higher than it has been in 40 years.

Kelly Preston and Kathy Bischoff would like to attend the next Town Board meeting to discuss the redistricting.


7. Approval of warrants – warrants were reviewed and any questions answered


A motion was made to approve the warrants by J. McKee seconded by M. Stafford.

Nays: 0 motion carried

A motion was made by M. Stafford, seconded by R. Constantino to adjourn the meeting at 7:41 pm.

The next Town Board meeting will be on November 10, a public hearing on the 2023 budget will begin at 6:30 PM followed by the regular town board meeting.
